Certified as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner by the Nutritional Therapy Institute in 2009, I am daily inspired by the power of nutrition to help people achieve their best health. A health history, keen observation of symptoms, questionnaires and ancient dietary traditions guide our tasty explorations. Our role is to offer the raw ingredients that allow your body to perform its magic. Your body will be our teacher: as we fine tune an awareness, it will guide our steps.
My work serves anyone who is seeking to optimize health and wellness. I support clients who are navigating any of a wide range of health conditions. Clients report greater energy, brighter mood, weight normalization, relief from cravings, muscle cramps, skin problems, migraines, insomnia, depression, anxiety, addiction, benign prostatic hypertrophy and other chronic conditions.
If you are interested in exploring any of these approaches further, please email me for a complimentary 30-minute discovery session.
In 2013, Vera University’s Wellness Coach certification deepened my skills. Learning to listen to and mold our inner dialogue, to listen to and believe in our dreams, helps us find an ease in taking the steps that lead towards those dreams. This clarity fosters the experience of transformation and the feeling of empowerment that comes with transformation.
In 2014 a certification as Mental Health Nutrition Coach from the Alliance for Addiction Solutions, advanced skills in biochemical support for mental health and addiction. The foundation for nutritional relief from mood concerns, be they the subtler forms anxiety and low spirits that we all experience, or more challenging mental health concerns and addition, is food choice and digestive health. Whatever the degree of concern, a focused, sequential program of discovering the key nutrients and healing protocol for a specific individual’s needs is pivotal for recovery.
As a Yoga and Meditation Practitioner for 35 years, I share with clients an array of mind, body and breath practices to to sweeten our thoughts and foster moments of clarity, intention and reflection in our lives. Past traumas reside in our bodies, breathing patterns and thoughts, and those are the very places to look to find release. We explore simple brief habits to nurture the mind: one to several minute long meditations, breathing or movement practices. Perhaps a writing practice , or a practice of imagining and drawing from in your own personal tribe of support will help you find the sense of grounded peace and strength of a well-nourished body and mind. Simple tools to foster and discover vibrancy.
I have been blessed with extraordinary teachers: Alan Gaby MD, Jonathan Wright MD and teachers/mentors Wellness: Coach Jamie Hall of Vera University, Christina Veselak LMFT, director of the Alliance for Addiction Solutions and Elizabeth Lipsky PhD, CNN, Academic Director of Nutrition and Integrative Health Programs , Maryland University of Integrative Health.
